Over the years has the Bologna territory developed various consortiums (the Buone Idee Consortium, the Bologna Dop Potato Consortium) so as to enhance the value of the area’s typical products. Cometa,  member of both Consortiums, felt the need to join other businesses and create new brands and products, thus implementing its supplying capacity.
In addition, in 2004, together with the Tre Spighe Cooperative, it contributed to the establishment of the Cipolla di Medicina IGP Consortium, being committed in the production of IGP brand Medicina onions.
